Biography

Dr. Anil Narine was born in Edmonton, Alberta (Amiskwaciy Waskahikan) and grew up in Kelowna, British Columbia (Syilx Okanagan Territory). Following a 10-year career teaching post-secondary students at the University of Toronto he entered the academic adminstration sector, specializing in research and project management. 
Most recently he has served as a Research Lead for the Centre for the Study of Black Canadian Diaspora at OCAD University.
He continues his research practice, examining representations of historical trauma and representations of climate disaster.
